The
terrain of the farm is flat with very little variation.
The topsoil throughout the farm appears to be sandy loam in nature,
which is an excellent soil for the semi-arid, eastern New Mexico region. The CRP portion of the farm has an excellent cover of good
forage grasses.
Approximately
80 acres in the northwest corner of the farm has a solid stand of good
native grasses, including blue and sideoats grama.
This native grass, which is not in the CRP Program, is stocked with
a few cows and calves. A
